Frequently Asked Questions

Embarkation

Where can my guests and I board Morpheus?
You can board Morpheus at most public wharves within Sydney Harbour. Most city wharves incur a small booking fee of approximately $60 per charter.

Can we choose multiple wharves for boarding?
Yes. We often have the bride board first and "hide" inside the boat whilst we pick up the groom and guests from another wharf. The bride can then make her grand entrance as the ceremony is about to begin.

What happens if someone is late or one of our guests need to disembark early?
Please see your cruise director on the day and he will be happy to arrange a water taxi for your guest.

How long do we have at the wharf for boarding?
We have a maximum time slot of 15minutes however this may be affected by the arrival of a public ferry. Please ask your guests to be at the designated wharf at least 15 minutes prior to your boarding time to ensure your cruise departs on time.

Menus

Is there any flexibility with the menus, a lot of my guests are vegetarian?
Morpheus cruises are happy to discuss your menu requirements and tailor a menu to suit the dietary needs of you and your guests.

Can I bring on board my own food/catering company?
At Morpheus we pride ourselves in the quality of our food and as such do not encourage clients to bring their own food or caterers on board. However there are sometimes exceptions so please feel free to ask.

Is the food prepared on board?
All our menus are prepared on board by our chef using only the freshest local produce.

What happens if there is not enough food?
We always over cater for our clients and their guests and as such will never "run out"

What happens if one of my guests has dietary requirements I am not aware of?
We willl always endeavour to meet any dietary requirements on the day, however it is helpful if we are advised of any such requirements beforehand.

Beverages

Can we bring our own beverages on board?
Morpheus is a fully licensed vessel and as such we cannot allow clients to bring their own alcohol on board.

I have strong preferences in regards to the wines I would like to supply to my guests, can you arrange to have these wines on board?
We can arrange most wines, beers and other beverages on request.

How many bottles of beer/wine do we get with the package? What happens if we run out?
Our drinks packages are all inclusive for the duration of the charter we will not run out.
 

Wedding packages

Can we get married on board Morpheus?
Yes, Morpheus has a spacious foredeck that is ideal for wedding ceremonies.


Are there any decorations included with the package?
Flower arrangements, candles and fairy lights are included.

Can I bring my own decorations/place cards on board and if so who will put them in place?
You can bring any extra decorations a couple of days before your wedding and our staff will organise set up on the day.

I don't require a DJ at my wedding. Do I get a discount on the package price?
The DJ, flower arrangements etc. are all offered complimentary with the wedding package so a discount is not offered if not required, however we may be able to substitute the DJ for another inclusion.
 

Do I need to arrange a master of ceremonies?
There will be an experienced cruise director on board to take care of you and your guests and to ensure the occassion runs smoothly, however you are welcome to arrange an MC to work alongside the cruise director.

What is the price for children?
Children under the age of 3 are free of charge, aged 3 - 12 are charged at half price food and drinks and children aged 13 and over are charged at half price drinks.
 

Entertainment

Is there a PA system on Morpheus?
Yes we have a hand held microphone.

Is there a television on Morpheus?
Yes we have a 19" television located in the cocktail lounge.

Is there music on board and can I bring my own I-pod or CD's?
We have speakers located throughout the boat and can provide a diverse range of music through the in house i-pod, however you are more than welcome to provide your own cd's or i-pod to play through our system.

Can I arrange my own entertainment?
Morpheus Cruises can recommend various entertainment options but you are of course welcome to source your own ideas.

General Questions

What time do your charters depart and what is the duration?
Charter times and duration are entirely up to you but as an idea most charters run for a 4 or 5 hour duration and lunchtime charters are generally from 1200 - 1600 or 1300 - 1700 with evening charters generally from around 1800 - 2200 or 1900 - 2300.

Where does the cruises go?
Unless you have another preference we would generally take in the sights of Sydney Harbour from the harbour bridge and opera house to the eastern suberbs, Taronga zoo, Kirribilli House and Luna Park to Darling harour.

Can we anchor during the cruise?
If you wish, we can anchor for lunch/dinner or for the majority of the duration of the cruise.

What happens if the weather is bad?
Morpheus is large enough to accomodate all your guests inside if the weather conditions are not favourable. She is equipped with unique underwater stabilisers which make her extremely stable in any weather.

When should I finalise details for my charter?
Final numbers, menus, etc. are due 10 days before your charter.
 

What is the payment schedule for my charter?
To confirm your charter a deposit is required, final payment is then due 10 days before your charter date.
