Vineyard conditions were characterised by cool mornings and warm afternoons tempered by strong south westerly winds. A warm and dry spring hastened the fruit development, however cooler weather from Boxing day served to slow ripening and allow excellent flavour concentration. The 2007 harvest began approximately 3 - 4 weeks earlier due to the warm spring. Colour: Pale straw with slight green hues. Aroma: Intense snow pea and cut grass characters combine with lovely passionfruit and gooseberry notes. Palate: A crisp, vibrant palate with dominant passionfruit and stonefruit flavours beautifully supported by a citrus acid backbone giving the wine lovely structure and a lingering zesty finish. |
